How does Together We Worship work?

Each week we compile everything needed for anyone comfortable reading in front of a group to lead a service of worship. This includes a bulletin and a PowerPoint presentation, including all the prayers plus hymn suggestions. We also include a Leader’s Sheet which has all the words needed to lead worship, including transitions between parts of the service.

The files you get are easily edited and adapted to your local context so if you’d like to change the order of things, or edit a prayer, you can do so simply in Word, or another word processor.

We put the sermon on a PowerPoint slide as well so when it comes time for the sermon, all you need to do is switch to the next slide, and the sermon starts automatically.

Everything you need can be downloaded in advance, which we recommend you do so that you’re not scrambling last minute if for some reason things don’t work as expected.

What’s included in a worship service package?

Each worship package includes:
the bulletin (editable) in .docx, .rtf, .pdf
the leader’s sheet (editable) in .docx, .rtf, .pdf
A PowerPoint presentation (editable), containing the full service (hymns, prayers, sermon), in .pptx
A PowerPoint presentation (editable), containing the sermon, in .pptx

You’ll also get access to a High Quality video sermon file that you’re able to stream, if you’re unable to download as recommended, as well as a smaller sized video file of the sermon in case the one embedded in the PowerPoint doesn’t work for your situation.

What technology do we need to use Together We Worship?

It is easiest to run Together We Worship from a computer, though you could also run it on a tablet or phone. We recommend a computer that’s less then 7 years old, but you’ll likely be fine with something a bit older as long as it can run the appropriate software (PowerPoint 2007 or newer).

In order to hear the sermon you’ll need to connect the computer either to the churches sound system or another speaker of some kind. How best to do so will depend on the individual sound system, but we’re happy to help you figure out exactly what you need to do, just get in touch.

To see the sermon, and the PowerPoint slides if being used, you’ll want some kind of large screen. Once again exactly what makes sense will change based on the situation, but reasonable projectors (minimum 3000 lumens) can be had for $400 or less on Amazon, and TVs up to 60” can be purchased on Amazon, or at BestBuy.ca for less than $600. We’re happy to help you figure out what makes the most sense here as well, just get in touch.

When are new services available?

We generally post new services 3 weeks in advance, though we can get behind. If it’s 3 weeks out, and the service you’re after still isn’t there, send us a note, and we’ll let you know when you can expect it to be posted.

How much does a service cost?

Individual services are $65 each, or you can subscribe to get access to all our services for $100/month.

How do I access a worship package?

You’re access to a worship service package depends on how you purchase.

Single purchase
If you purchase a single worship service package you will be able to download a PDF with links to the various files available. You’ll also be emailed a link to the same PDF. That emailed link to the PDF will be valid for 24 hours, but once downloaded, you’ll be able to access the worship package files indefinitely.

Subscription
If you’re a subscriber to Together We Worship, when you go to the page for the worship service package you’re interested in using, you’ll see a button under the top image that says, “Subscriber Download”. If you’re logged in when you click the button it will open a PDF with the file download links. If you are not logged in, you’ll be asked to do so before the PDF with the download links will open.

Do I need high speed internet at the church?

Nope, in fact you don’t need internet at the church at all. You’ll need to be able to access the internet somewhere however. Everything you need to use Together We Worship can be downloaded in advance though, which we recommend you do. No point leaving things to chance. You can be download it all over dial-up internet as well, though the sermons will take quite a while. We recommend using a cable, DLS, Satellite, or LTE (cell phone) connection to download the sermons. If you need (faster) internet access, try the local library, they can often help you out.

Are there transcripts available of the sermons in case we don’t have the technology to show it?

One of the goals of Together We Worship is to provide you with engaging worship, which we believe is better achieved when the sermons are delivered by their original writers. While it’s possible for others to put the necessary passion and drama into delivering someone else’s sermon, experience has shown that that often doesn’t happen.

If you need help acquiring the necessary technology to show the video sermons, please be in touch and we’ll help you figure out what we can do for your specific situation.
