John is the Lead minister at Hillhurst United since 2004. He calls himself spiritual AND religious person and enjoys engaging in meaningful conversation and connection.  In 2016 he wrote a book called Fishing Tips which explores the power of curiosity in church life.  An avid cyclist and racket sport enthusiast, he considers his bike his ‘soul seat’.  John's education includes a BA at Queen's, MDiv. at Emmanuel Theological College, Th. M. at Princeton Theological Seminary and D.Min. at Chicago Theological Seminary.
