PAUL DOUGLAS WALFAL: Paul is Jamaican by nationality.  He became a candidate for ordained ministry in the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas (MCCA) in 1983 and then commenced ministerial formation at the United Theological College of the West Indies in Jamaica.  Upon leaving seminary he served in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago for three years and in the island of Barbados for fourteen years.  While in Barbados he served as Circuit Minister in the Bethel and James Street/Speightstown Circuits and as Superintendent Minister for the Ebenezer and Bethel Circuits.  Paul began serving as the minister for the Cold Lake-Pierceland Pastoral Charge of the United Church of Canada in 2011 and was elected President of the Alberta and Northwest Conference in May 2015.  He is currently serving First United in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.  Paul is married to Rev. Marlene Britton-Walfall and has two teenage sons.
